AdviceTech Forum April – Goal-Based Planning
The April meeting of the AdviceTech Forum turned its attention to “Goal-based Planning – the evolution of cashflow planning and how it has become a core feature of advice for advisers and clients”.
Chaired by Ian McKenna, the session bought together three practitioners with contrasting perspectives:
- Gregg Schofield, Head of Advice Strategy at Wesleyan Group, who oversees cashflow modelling across a network of 200 advisers;
- Richard Gough, Senior Paraplanner at Create Wealth Chartered Financial Planners, a two-adviser firm with deep hands-on experience of cashflow tools; and
- Olivia Perry, Financial Planner at Connor Broadley, who has applied cashflow modelling in contexts ranging from retirement planning to divorce settlements.
Together, the panel examined:
- How are cashflow planning tools used across the industry?
- Is cashflow planning adopted in the same way across advice firms or, are there variations in approach?
- What is the future of cashflow planning – what will be the advances for 2026?
